This course is for beginners and anyone who wants to explore painting in their unique way. We will be creating the same subject matter in this paint-a-long course and your painting will look and be as uniquely different as you are. So sit back, set your mind with one simple intention to have fun and experience the magic of creating something new. Remember these are only painting prompts so if you do not want to paint your hand or your families hands then please pick a simple shape you like. For example bees and butterflies are fun too! It's up to you, you can follow the instructions either way.

I know starting a painting is intimidating to most people because we have grown up saying things like - I can't draw a straight line, I am not an artist, my drawing is not as good as yours . . . so you stop having fun and start judging your creation like the worlds expectation is that you have to hang this up in an art gallery some where! Well you don't. In this space we are creating for fun to simply feel the magic of tapping into your inner 5 year old who could sing, dance, draw, paint and walk on the moon! Remember her/him? Yeah, well say hello because we going find that spark!

Demystify Color Mixing & Create Your First Layer of Color!

Welcome and get ready to use your supplies from your materials list to start creating and making your mark!

Gather your supplies and create your space - grab your water, brushes & paints then settle in with your favorite drink, tea is my go to beverage - I like to put on my favorite music in the background, light a candle and set your intention to have fun creating! The video below is approximately 10 minutes so I will see you at the canvas where you will mix paint and cover your canvas with your first layer of yummy color.

First yummy color layer completed! Well done you - how does that feel? Good right, to complete something you had not done before or it had been a very long time since you sat down and allowed yourself the pure fun of working with color and paint.
